Spineway strengthens its international presence with an extensive training program

Spineway, a specialist in innovative implants for the treatment of severe spine disorders, conducted numerous training sessions for surgeons around the world during the first half of 2025. In line with its strategy of international expansion and expertise sharing, the Group organized training courses in Europe, Latin America and Asia, supporting the launch of its product ranges in new markets and consolidating its network of spine surgery professionals.

Training for around 60 surgeons from Latin America

At the ASPECIVE congress in Lima, Peru, in April 2025, Spineway organized a “Meet the Expert” event dedicated to the VEOS posterior fixation system. Led by Dr. Enrique Olive Cruz of Barcelona, Spain, this workshop supported the commercial launch of the VEOS posterior osteosynthesis system in South America. Over 50 surgeons from across Latin America attended the presentation and participated in an interactive session with the expert.

Additionally, two Chilean surgeons users of some Spineway solutions participated in an intensive week of training in France in June 2025 on the ESP (CP and LP), VEOS PEEK, KAPHORN and Mont-Blanc MIS product lines. The program allowed them to explore Spineway’s innovations in operating rooms and workshops. They received training from Dr. Olivier Hamel, Dr. Pascal Sabatier (Toulouse), Dr. Gregory Edgar Rosa (Montpellier) and Dr. Mohamed Allaoui (Pau). The week-long event allowed them to deepen their knowledge with a view to becoming future Spineway trainers in Latin America.

In June, a group of six Mexican surgeons visited Europe for advanced operating room training on ESP prostheses. They benefited from the expertise of Prof. Jean-Yves Lazennec (Paris, France), Dr. Olivier Ricart (Luxembourg), Dr. Pablo Clavel (Barcelona, Spain), Dr. Biren Desai (Cologne, Germany), and Dr. Gras Combe (Nîmes, France) on implantation techniques and feedback on clinical results. The visit of this delegation confirms the growing interest in ESP viscoelastic technology since its commercial launch in Mexico.

Support for the launch of the ESP range in Asia

After launching its ESP prostheses in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2025, Spineway organized training sessions for surgeons to support this launch. In April 2025, Spineway welcomed three Indonesian surgeons for personalized operating room training at Clinique du Pré (Le Mans) and the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital (Paris) with Dr. Jean-Patrick Rakover and Prof. Jean-Yves Lazennec.

With the same objective in mind, Dr. Raymond Yip (Hong Kong) traveled to Indonesia in May 2025 to gather initial feedback from surgeons after several months of using the ESP range and to assist some of them in real-life operating room conditions with the use of these CP-ESP and LP-ESP implants.

As part of the (OCM 2025) specialist conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 16 to 19, Spineway’s local partner sponsored three tables at a practical training workshop in the Jakarta Faculty of Medicine anatomy laboratory. Dr. Yip actively participated as a trainer and spoke at a roundtable attended by more than 30 spine professionals to present the LP-ESP prosthesis. This initiative helped to raise Spineway’s profile and increase awareness of LP-ESP technology among the Asian surgical community.

Thanks to this structured and intensive program, more than 100 international surgeons were trained on the various Spineway technologies, including the ESP, VEOS, KAPHORN and Mont-Blanc MIS ranges during the first half of 2025. These training courses, organized in France and internationally, strengthen Spineway’s presence and visibility in its strategic markets while building on a growing network of local experts.
Buoyed by this positive momentum, Spineway plans to continue its training activities throughout the second half of the year to support the adoption of its technologies in high-potential areas.
