SFCR Practical Workshop
Spineway will participate in the practical workshop on lumbar arthroplasty via retropersitoneal approach, organized by the French Society for Spine Surgery (SFCR) on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Amiens, at the Anatomy and Organogenesis Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine.
This training day, led by Prof. Johann Peltier, will bring together renowned experts in spinal surgery for a program combining theoretical instruction and practical dissection workshops.
The morning will be devoted to the anatomical basics of the retroperitoneal approach, the indications and limitations of ALIF, the role of lumbar arthroplasty, and the analysis of peri- and post-operative complications. Clinical cases will complement these discussions.
The afternoon will be entirely devoted to practical workshops in the dissection room, allowing participants to learn about access routes, lumbar prosthesis placement, and fluoroscopic control in conditions similar to those encountered during surgery.
Through its participation in this workshop, Spineway reaffirms its commitment alongside the SFCR to continuing education, sharing expertise, and supporting surgeons in the evolution of lumbar arthroplasty techniques.
